„Longevity for the Rest of Us (I) – You Will Be What You Eat. Longevity Food Convenience.“

Proposed by HealthCare Futurists

Background/Problem

Sam just tuned fifty. He is a father of three that still live at home. He is a medical doctor and entrepreneur and is working long hours. His wife, a PhD, also pursues the career of a self employed entrepreneur. They both know about their personal risk factors in terms of prevention and are using digital technology to measure here and there. A healthy lifestyle is an enduring topic in family conversations, but for the most part, it results in frustration with chocolate and a seeming lack of alternatives.

Since they had their children at a later age, they are both keen to see their grandchildren at a future point in time, and they dream of spending some good years in retirement travelling the world. Longevity has recently started to become a topic for them. However, they find it challenging to live by the rather harsh longevity standards that some specialists bring forward:

  • Speel more than eight hours
  • Take vitamin and nutrition supplements
  • Meditate and foster relationships

Their life currently is rather busy with providing for their family, it is busy with keeping up to fill the gaps a quaint schooling system in combination with a pandemic has caused and to live with the consequences of boomer grandparents that have hardly taken on any grandparental responsibilities. Both understand the value of good food and the price it comes at. They are also aware of the consequences of neglecting proper nutritional care, which might result in metabolic disease (Diabetes, obesity) or neuroinflammation (Dementia). So, changing habits for them could all start with supporting them in their quest for “longevity food convenience” and making healthy food tasty, applicable and manageable in a busy family life setting.

Actual Challenge

Help Sam and his family to become part of the “Longevity for the Rest of Us” Movement at their terms.
